Terms & Conditions of Tuition

1. Lesson Bookings

All lessons are subject to availability and must be confirmed directly by Learn With Aaron. Submitting an enquiry through this website, the online lesson enquiry system, WhatsApp, email or telephone does not guarantee a booking. Lessons are only confirmed once availability has been agreed by Arron Proctor.

2. Lesson Prices & Payment

Current lesson prices are displayed on this website and may be amended from time to time.

Payment is required before or at the start of each lesson unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance.

Block bookings may require full or partial payment in advance to secure lesson dates.

3. Cancellations & Rearranging Lessons

A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.

Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged in full.

If Learn With Aaron needs to cancel a lesson due to illness, adverse weather, vehicle issues or unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to rearrange the lesson at the earliest convenient opportunity.

4. Late Arrival

If a pupil arrives late for a lesson, the lesson will normally finish at the originally agreed time so that later bookings are not affected.

If Learn With Aaron is delayed, the lesson time will be extended where possible or the missed time will be rearranged.

5. Fitness to Drive

Pupils must:

• Hold a valid UK provisional or full driving licence.
• Be legally entitled to drive in the United Kingdom.
• Be medically fit to drive.
• Wear suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for driving.

Learn With Aaron reserves the right to refuse or terminate any lesson where it would be unsafe or unlawful to continue.

6. Driving Tests

The use of the tuition vehicle for a practical driving test is entirely at the discretion of Learn With Aaron.

The instructor may refuse the use of the vehicle if, in their professional opinion, the pupil has not reached the required driving standard or if the vehicle would otherwise be used unsafely.

DVSA practical test fees are separate from lesson fees. Completion of lessons does not guarantee a practical driving test pass.

7. Tuition Vehicle & Safety

Lessons are provided in a dual-controlled manual tuition vehicle that is fully insured, regularly serviced and maintained to a high standard.

To help keep the vehicle clean, safe and comfortable for everyone:

• Smoking or vaping is not permitted in or around the tuition vehicle during lessons.
• Alcohol must not be consumed or brought into the tuition vehicle during lessons.
• Eating or drinking during lessons is not permitted unless agreed in advance by the instructor.
• Mobile phones must be switched to silent and must not be used while driving unless instructed to do so as part of the lesson or in an emergency.
• Pupils are expected to arrive in suitable clothing and maintain a reasonable standard of personal hygiene out of consideration for the instructor and future pupils.
• Seat belts must be worn at all times unless the pupil is legally exempt.
• The tuition vehicle must be treated with care. Deliberate damage, misuse or behaviour likely to cause damage to the vehicle will not be tolerated.

If a pupil arrives in a condition that makes it unsafe, inappropriate or unreasonable to continue the lesson, Learn With Aaron reserves the right to refuse or terminate the lesson. In such circumstances, the lesson may be treated as a late cancellation and the full lesson fee may apply.

8. Behaviour & Respect

Learn With Aaron is committed to providing a safe, professional and respectful learning environment.

Pupils are expected to behave courteously towards the instructor, other road users and members of the public at all times.

Abusive, threatening, discriminatory, intimidating or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in the lesson ending immediately without refund. Future tuition may also be refused.

Where appropriate, incidents may be reported to the police or other relevant authorities.

9. Recording Lessons

Some pupils may wish to record lessons using a mobile phone, dash camera or other recording device.

Any audio or video recording must be discussed and agreed with Arron before the lesson begins.

Recordings must not be published, shared, edited or used in any way that infringes the privacy, safety or rights of the instructor, other road users or third parties.

Learn With Aaron reserves the right to refuse permission for lessons to be recorded.

10. Events Outside the Instructor's Control

Learn With Aaron cannot be held responsible for losses, delays or inconvenience arising from:

• DVSA cancellations or delays.
• Severe weather conditions.
• Road closures or traffic disruption.
• Vehicle breakdowns.
• Illness affecting the instructor.
• Other events beyond the reasonable control of Learn With Aaron.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruption and rearrange lessons wherever reasonably possible.

11. Changes to These Terms

Learn With Aaron reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions of Tuition at any time. The latest version published on this website will apply to all future bookings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions of Tuition are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms & Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

13. Punctuality & Collection

Lessons will normally begin and end at the agreed collection and drop-off locations. Where alternative locations are requested, these are subject to the instructor's discretion and may form part of the lesson time.
